A Company without a detailed Business Plan is like a ship without a rudder - you cannot steer a steady course. A Business Plan isn’t a Business Plan unless its in writing, committed to by the key members of the organization and used as a living document.


There are several key reasons for preparing a Business Plan. First, the benefit to be derived from focusing on the specifics of what the Company wants to accomplish. Second, The plan acts as a vehicle for communicating to others, such as the Company’s lenders, what the firm is trying to accomplish. Finally, the plan provides a basis for measuring actual vs expected performance.


Ingeniana Management Consultants works closely with the CEO and those he designates to develop the Company’s overall Goals. This is a process in which the current status of the company and its abilities are subjected to close scrutiny to answer the first key question: WHERE ARE WE? All decisions about forward year goals will be based upon this information. The Company’s growth strategy will be specific goals to be achieved that are the key details of the overall growth strategy. Ingeniana will work with the CEO and his team as this process develops. The interaction of the goals and the Company vision that they portray will be both a learning experience and a molding of commitment. The successful achievement will provide a logical answer for the next key question WHERE DO WE WANT TO GO?


We’re now ready to answer the final key question: HOW DO WE GET THERE? The major components of the organization must now take the Company’s goals and translate them into action. Ingeniana Management Consultants will work with each key Executive as he goes through the process of setting specific Objectives for his area of responsibility that, when met, will support the achievement of the Company’s Goals. The Objectives and the resources to achieve those objectives will be negotiated with the CEO and the other key members of the team. The financial results of the actions of each part of the Organization will be consolidated into an overall financial plan and a projected bottom line for the next 3 - 5 years. These projections will have to be examined and any necessary modifications when the many planned actions are seen as a whole.


ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT


Upon completion, all of the key members of the team, from the CEO on down will have to commit, without reservation to the Plan’s achievement. Without this commitment, the Plan will very probably fail. Ingeniana will also work with your Executives to fully explain the plan and how to use it to the remainder of the organization. The Plan can act as both a road map to achieve the Company’s goals and as a measurement tool to gage where you are along the path at any one time.
